. Archi.tec.ture .

. A R C H I T E C T U R E .

What is Architecture?
For me, Architecture is something that is subjective and abstract. Architecture can be defined in many ways such as construction of buildings, design of buildings, physical structures, the aesthetic value, and many more.

Why do i say that?
Generally, we understand that architecture is a combination of Art and Science.

Why Art and Science?
Both the artist and the scientist strove for the mastery of the physical world. The two fields of study that may be call scientific: anatomy, which made possible a more accurate representation of the human body, and mathematical perspective. Perspective in painting is the rendering on a two-dimensional surface of the illusion of three-dimensions.

Science and Art are closely connected, Art and architecture do actually go hand in hand because the truth is that architecture requires as much of aesthetics and designing sense.

Basically, a good building should be satisfy this three principle which is durability, where it should stand up robustly and remain in good condition. Utility, where it should be useful and function well for the people to using it and lastly the beauty, where it should delight people and raise their spirits.

My understanding of the architecture is, it has to do with designing, planning, constructing form, space and ambiance that reflect functional and technical. Also, must be considerate with the environmental, the important element such as light and shadow, material, technical specification and the structural. And the architecture itself that it must be something that can be build.

This is just from my point of view and there is a lot of things that i still need to learn in this field, more update to come.. insyaAllah.

.b3rsih. d3monstrAsi .b3rsih 2.0.

Terlebih dahulu, mari kita lihat 8 tuntutan demonstrasi BERSIH 2.0 :

1. Bersihkan senarai undi.

.th3.brack3t.system.th3.dOugOng.

.hello again and again!.

.today i'm gonna write about the bracket system of traditional china civilization.
.what is dougong? where is it placed at? why used it?.

.dougong is a timber frame structure which is commonly constructed in traditional chinese architecture because the walls of the buildings aren't load bearing types. the concept of the dougong is the interlocking of brackets. by placing the a large wooden block on a column to provide a solid base for the bow that shaped brackets support the beam above it. besides that, the function is to give extra support to the increased weight of horizontal beams that span the vertical column by transferring weight on the horizontal beams over a larger area to the vertical columns. the interlocking process can be repeated many times also rates. multiple structures let dougong also rates to be more elastic.

.owing to restrictions in feudal hierarchical society, the dougong structure can be found only in the standard and poor prominent buildings halls, palace and temple. to identify the importance of the buildings, it can be determined by the number of layers of these bracket structure.

.In addition, the dougong structure is highly resistant to Earthquakes. it could hold the wood structure together even though brick walls collapse in the same earthquake. this helped so many ancient buildings to stand intact for hundreds of years.

.so now we know what is actually the thing that looks like 'something' that can be seen outside the ancient building, if people ask you what is it, tell em its DOUGONG!.

.i'll stop it here, and see you guys in next post. 'the m.a.n.d.a.l.a'.
.assalamualaikum, sayonara, and drive carefully!. ahaks! ;p.
